St. Louis, MO: Sherman Day Ceremony at Calvary Cemetery

Brigade members joined with the William T. Sherman/Billy Yank Camp #65, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, in their annual Sherman Day Ceremony on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at the Sherman gravesite in Calvary Cemetery in north St. Louis. The tribute began with a parade from the main gate area to the Sherman family gravesite, followed by a brief address by John Nischwitz, a member of the St. Louis Civil War Roundtable, on lesser known incidents in the life of the General, and a military firing salute.
