Sullivan, MO: General Harney Days Living History

The Harney Mansion Festival, a one-day living history event, was held at the Harney Mansion in Sullivan, Missouri, on Saturday, August 30, 2014. The event was a commemoration of Gen. William S. Harney, commander of the St. Louis Arsenal in early 1861, who was a Sullivan resident for a period. The event kicked off the Harney Mansion’s hosting of the travelling exhibit from the Missouri History Museum, “The Civil War in Missouri: A State Divided”, which will be on display there from August 30 to October 26.
