The Brigade will again be recruiting at the annual Friends of Jefferson Barracks Swap Meet from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Pavilion at Lemay Recreation Center, 305 Gregg Rd. in Jefferson Barracks Park, St. Louis MO 63125 in south St. Louis County. The swap meet will include representatives of all historical periods selling or trading goods, organizations recruiting new members, book signings by authors, traditional crafters, etc. General admission to the show is $3 for those 12 and over, or $2 for children 11 and under. The room in which the swap meet will be held is a basketball court, so those attending in period dress should not wear shoes with heel plates. Taping the heel plates is not an acceptable substitute at this site.

The show encompasses military or civilian items from the period 1750-1945. Any firearm manufactured prior to January 1, 1899, may be bought, sold, or traded; however, it is the responsibility of the vendor to prove date of manufacture, if questions arise. Reproduction black powder muzzleloading firearms may be bought, sold, or traded, regardless of date of manufacture. Skins, feathers, etc. of endangered animals cannot be bought, sold, or traded.
