Everton, MO: Hulston Mill Civil War Days
The Dade County Historical Society hosted Hulston Mill Civil War Days at historic Hulston Mill Park near Everton, MO, June 9-10, 2018. Members of Company M participated. The park is the location of a restored pre-Civil War grist mill.
The mill building and all its equipment were rescued from the bank of the Sac River before Stockton Lake was impounded; it was disassembled and moved to the park a short distance from its original location. Currently powered by a small engine, the mill actually grinds grist into flour, which the society sells as a fund-raiser.
