Bentonville, NC: 155th Anniversary Reenactment of the Battle of Bentonville.

The Bentonville reenactment has been postponed until March 20-22, 2021.

The Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site will host the 155th anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Bentonville March 19-21, 2020, on portions of the original battlefield in the state historic site grounds. All proceeds from the event support the preservation of the site.

The Saturday battle at 3 p.m. will portray the Fight at Morris Farm, pitting Hardee’s Confederates against Slocum’s corps. The Sunday battle at 1:30 p.m. will present the “Last Great Charge of the Army of Tennessee and Morgan’s Stand”, where Morgan’s isolated XIV Corps held off Confederate assaults on three sides. A reenactor-only period dance will be held Saturday at 8 p.m. The Harper House on the site will be open for tours, with medical displays and period domestic life demonstrations. Other programs in the activities tent will be presented throughout the event.
