Turners at Fort D in Cape Girardeau September 2019

Co. G Capt. Greg Zelinske directs a musket salute by a Co. E honor guard as part of the ceremony marking Fort D’s addition to the National Register of Historic Places in Cape Girardeau, MO, on September 2, 2019.

Company E will host a working living history event on November 7 and 8 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. both days at Fort D in Cape Girardeau, MO. Camping is not planned. This is a working event in that we will be actively cleaning tools and refurbishing furniture, etc. There will also be rifle demonstrations for visitors. We may or may not fire the cannon, depending on visitors and personnel available.

As a public building in Cape Girardeau, face coverings will be required inside the blockhouse.
