The Swap Meet has been cancelled due to weather.

Hello Everyone:
After a lot of thought and consideration, and talking with the good folks at the National Weather Service, I’ve decided to cancel this year’s Swap Meet.
As most of you know, we’ve had this sale, for the last 24 years, during snowstorms. The difference this year is the timing of the event, plus the fact that, according to the NWS, this will be a statewide weather event, and it will also adversely impact east central and southeastern Illinois. The bad weather is expected to begin moving into the St. Louis area early Friday afternoon, when most of you would probably be on your way to St. Louis. Saturday does look good, at this time, but that’s the least of my concerns.
I cannot, in good conscience, expect you folks to put yourselves in possible danger just to come to this sale.
Your table fees will be refunded by the Friends of JB.
I want to thank all of you for your support over the years, and I’ll look forward to seeing you again next year.

The Brigade will again be recruiting at the annual Friends of Jefferson Barracks Swap Meet from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, in the Affton White-Rodgers Community Center in south St. Louis County. The event will include representatives of all historical periods selling or trading goods, organizations recruiting new members, book signings by authors, traditional crafters, etc.
