Sacramento, KY: Battle of Sacramento Reenactment
The McLean County Fiscal Court and the City of Sacramento sponsored the 24th annual reenactment of the Battle of Sacramento, Kentucky, on May 18-20. This event commemorated the 157th anniversary of General Nathan Bedford Forrest’s first cavalry battle of December 28, 1861. The reenactment was held at the original site near Garst’s Pond where Forrest engaged Crittenden’s Army of the Ohio.
