Pinckneyville, IL: “Great Battle Stands” Reenactment
The Division Cavalry Brigade and the 1st Division/Southern Re-enactors Association hosted “Great Battle Stands”, a reenactment of several significant Civil War engagements, April 11-14, 2019, at Pyramid State Recreation Area near Pinckneyville, Illinois. Turners from Company G, Company K/H, Company M, and Company E participated.

Saturday evening into Sunday was for 1-2 inches of rain, and many reenactors, including many Turners, decided to leave the event Saturday afternoon. The heavy rain did cause the cancellation of the Sunday action, and reports were that those who stayed had difficulty in getting out.
