Training Army Reservists at Fort D, 2007

A Company M crew trains modern Army Reservists at the 2007 Fort D living history in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

The Brigade calendar for 2024 will include some of the following events. Events marked Brigade Maximum are expected to have representation by all Turner companies.

January 27: Bloomfield, MO.  Stars and Strips Kids Day living history at Stars and Stripes Museum.  “Civil War Action around Bloomfield”.

March 2: St. Louis, MO. Friends of Jefferson Barracks Swap Meet at the Pavilion at Lemay recreation center in South St. Louis County.

March 8-10:  Yale, OK.  Reenactment of the Battle of Round Mountain.

March 23: St. Louis, MO. Sherman Remembrance Ceremony at Calvary Cemetery at 11 a.m. Presented by U.S. Grant Camp #68, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.

April 6: Cape Girardeau, MO. American Battlefield Park Day at Fort D. Co. E. Click here for map to event site.

April 13-14: St. Louis, MO. Living history at U. S. Grant National Historic Site.

April 20-21: Pilot Knob, MO. Brigade Spring Drill. Brigade Maximum.

May 11: Ballwin, MO. Ballwin Frontier Days living history in Vlasis Park. 1-5 p.m.

June 15: St. Louis, MO. “Bitter Conflicts” living history timeline at Jefferson Barracks County Park. Note change of date.

May 17-19:  Resaca, GA.  Reenactment of the Battle of Resaca.

May 25-27: Cape Girardeau, MO. Memorial Day living history at Fort D. Co. E. Click here for map to event site.

May 27: St. Louis County, MO. Memorial Day ceremonies at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Note that the ceremony in the Civil War section of the cemetery will not be held this year.

May 27: St. James, MO. Memorial Day ceremonies at St. James Veterans Home.  Co. G, Co. M.

June 7-9:  Baldwyn, MS.   160th anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Bryce’s Cross Roads.

June 14-16:  Carthage, MO.  Reenactment of the Battle of Carthage.

August 17-18:  Bible Grove, MO.  Reenactment of the Battle of Vassar Hill.

September 21-22:  Osawatomie, KS.  Freedom Festival reenactment.

September 28-29:  Pilot Knob, MO.  Reenactment of the Battle of Pilot Knob.  Brigade Maximum.

October 4-5: Bloomfield, MO. Liberty Days living history at Stars and Stripes Museum.  Co. E.

October 18-20:  Kansas City, MO.  160th anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Westport.

October 18-20:  Middletown, VA.  160th anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Cedar Creek.

October 25-27:  Franklin, TN.  160th anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Franklin.  Cancelled due to lack of site availability.

December 6-8:  Prairie Grove. AR.  Reenactment of the Battle of Prairie Grove.

TBD:  Clinton, MO.  Reenactment.
