Carthage, MO: Battle of Carthage Reenactment

The Civil War Ranch hosted a reenactment of the Battle of Carthage June 6-7, 2026, in Carthage, MO. Members of several Turner companies participated.

Company G Captain Aaron Gamble commanded one of the two Union infantry companies at the reenactment of the Battle of Carthage June 6-7, 2026, in Carthage, MO. Many of the infantry wore gray hunting shirts like the ones worn by Sigel’s troops in 1861 when blue uniforms were unavailable.

 

Watched over by Captain Dale Sanford, who served as the Federal battery commander, the Company M crew stands by its mountain howitzer at the reenactment of the Battle of Carthage June 6-7, 2026, in Carthage, MO. There were four Federal artillery pieces present for the reenactment, the three others from Oklahoma and Texas.
