Fort D Historic Site in Cape Girardeau, MO, will host a living history event July 4, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A night cannon fire from Fort A above downtown is planned just prior to the city public fireworks display at approximately 9:15 p.m. The Fort A site has been renovated by private concerns and is now a nice park and memorial to the fort.
