Turners at Liberty Days 2021

The Stars and Stripes Military Newspaper Museum will host its annual Liberty Days living history timeline at the museum site in Bloomfield, MO, October 4-5, 2024.

The event will have encampments for various historical periods:

  • Revolutionary War/Colonial Times/ Mountain Men
  • Civil War
  • World War I
  • World War II
  • Korean War
  • Vietnam War
  • Gulf War/Bosnia
  • Iraq/Afghanistan

Additional Saturday activities will include:

  • USO-style variety show
  • Dessert Auction
  • Pet Photo Contest

The Museum celebrates the Stars and Stripes military newspaper’s first edition, published November 9, 1861, by Union troops after they took possession of the Bloomfield Herald Newspaper office.
