The U. S. Grant National Historic Site, also known as White Haven,will host its Civil War Days living history on April 11-12, 2026. This event commemorates the 161th anniversary of the Confederate surrender at Appomattox Court House. Activities will include presentations on the surrender, soldier encampments, historic weapons demonstrations, children’s activities, and information on researching your Civil War ancestors. Turner units are invited to participate.
