St. Louis, MO: Living history at U. S. Grant National Historic Site
The U. S. Grant National Historic Site, also known as White Haven, hosted its Civil War Days living history on April 11-12, 2026. This event commemorated the 161st anniversary of the Confederate surrender at Appomattox Court House. Activities included presentations on the surrender, soldier encampments, historic weapons demonstrations, children’s activities, and information on researching your Civil War ancestors. Members from several companies of the Turner Brigade participated.

Pat Baehr also represented the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865 along with Daughter Tracey Robinson at a table where visitors could find out about their Civil War ancestors at the Civil War Days living history at the U. S. Grant National Historic Site April 11-12, 2026.
