Union, MO: Disabled Veterans Monument Ceremony
The City of Union will hold a ceremony at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon, May 7, to dedicate a monument to the Disabled Veterans of all U.S. wars. The monument is in Union’s Veterans Memorial Park in the southwest corner, near the Wal-Mart.
The event will begin with a veterans-themed parade. A military aircraft flyover is scheduled, and other military equipment will be on display. Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer will be the key note speaker, a decorated Vietnam Veteran will sing the national anthem, and a bagpiper with other singers will perform. Company M is scheduled to provide an artillery salute.
