Pittsfield, IL: Pike County Commemorative Battle Reenactment
The Abe Lincoln Project and the City of Pittsfield sponsored the 18th annual Lincoln Days Civil War Reenactment, held at scenic Lake Pittsfield at Pittsfield, IL, June 1-2, 2019.
A highlight of the event was the display of an observation balloon by Kevin Knapp, who portrayed Prof. Thaddeus S. C. Lowe, the Civil War aeronaut who conducted aerial observations for the Union Army in the east.
