St. James, MO: Memorial Day ceremony at Missouri Veterans Home

Members of Turner Brigade organized and participated in a Memorial Day ceremony at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, MO, on May 25, 2026.  Twelve military and four civilians attended.  Patriotic boutonnieres made by members were distributed to the attending veterans following the ceremony.

 

Steve Allen, chaplain of the Turner Brigade, delivered an address including the reading of John Logan’s GAR order establishing Decoration Day in a Memorial Day ceremony at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, MO, on May 25, 2026.
